IDEAL ACADEMY OF PARAMEDICAL SCIENCE is a unit of Alam Hospital and Research Centre Had a very humble beginning in the year 1985, when Dr. Majeed Alam, a renowned surgeon and director of Alam Hospital and Research Centre started this hospital in the heart of the city Ranchi, as need arose, and the care was extended to all patients suffering from various disease.
Today, it has become a vast health care complex consisting of 150 beds with all specialists and some of the super-specialties. It is a hospital which boasts of a highly qualified team of Doctors and well trained Technician. The hospital is well equipped with state of the art facilities & equipments. The paramedical Science Department was staffed by a band of dedicated staff nurse and has been rendering dedicated service since then. With the improved medical and surgical services, professionally trained Paramedical Science personnel was a felt need of the hospital, as a response to which a School of Paramedical Science was founded in 2019.PARAMEDICAL :

Diploma Course
- Medical laboratory technicians perform laboratory tests and procedures. They perform microscopic, bacteriological, hematological, immunologic and chemical diagnostic tests and analyses on samples of tissue, blood, urine, stool, synovial fluid and semen, among others. They look for critical clues to the absence, presence and extent of various causes of diseases through accurate and efficient lab tests. The results they obtain from tests are used by physicians and other specialists to make appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
- operation theater technician are responsible for various pre-, intra- and post-surgery duties within a hospital.They transport patients, preparing operating room for surgery, set up, check, connect and adjust surgical equipment, technical assistance to surgeons.
- This paramedical training program helps students acquire key CT scanning skills in operating the scanner, recording images and handing over the records to the concerned senior doctors. These professionals work under the guidance of qualified doctors / radiologists carefully following instructions provided by physician or radiologist.
- Dialysis technician is a medical professional who administers the dialysis procedure. Technicians work under the supervision of a nurse or physician who accompanies the patient during treatment.
- Anesthesia technician is allied health care professional who works with anesthesiologist and other operating room team members to make sure that the patient are properly anesthetized before surgery.
- Catheterization laboratory or Cath Lab Technicians are trained to assist interventional cardiologistsin performing diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive cardiac procedures with the help of cardiac and coronary imaging. … Students will also be able to interpret basic ECG’s and recognise cardiac arrhythmias.
Facilities
The entire hospital complex of Alam Hospital and Research Centre with all its various specialties having a bed strength of 150 along with other affiliated hospitals is made available to the students for clinical experience.

In view of the main aim of education as the total development of the person, a number of opportunities are provided for the students to develop their skill and talents at various levels, through membership to the Student and Trained Nurses Associations and participation at local, state and national conference and scientific exhibitions in the students. Besides these, opportunities to develop talents in music, dance, indoor and outdoor games and sports also are provided.
Stay in the hostel is encouraged to meet the requirements of the course both academic and clinical. During the stay in the hostel, the student will strictly adhere to the Hostel Rule. Every student who wishes to get admitted to the Hostel, should make an application at the beginning of academic year in the prescribed application from available at the college office. Admission made to the hostel is for only one academic year. For readmission, every students has to submit a fresh application.
