ANM (AUXILIARY NURSING AND MIDWIFERY)

ANM or Auxiliary Nursing Midwifery is a two-year diploma programme for only girls in the field of Nursing.

Purpose

The purpose of the ANM course is to prepare an ANM nurse to function at the community level/village with specific skills to fulfill the health needs of the community. She will be an active link between the community and the health care system.

Admission Requirements

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age for admission shall be 30 years.
The minimum educational requirements shall be the passing of 12 years of schooling (10+2 year course) recognized by CBSE/ICSE/SSSCE/HSCE or a recognized equivalent examination.

Basic BSC NURSING (BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING)

Basic BSC Nursing is a four-year degree programme for boys and girls in the field of Nursing.

Purpose

Preparing talented BSc nurses for India and abroad.

Admission Requirements

  1. The minimum age of admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission sought.
  2. Minimum education
    1. A candidate should have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2).
    2. Candidates are also eligible from State Open school recognized Central Government Examination having Science and English subjects.
    3. English is a compulsory subject.
  3. Candidate shall be medically fit.

MSC NURSING (MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING)

MSC Nursing is a two-year degree programme for boys and girls in the field of Nursing.

Purpose

The aim of the postgraduate program in nursing is to prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional settings..

Admission Requirements

  1. B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
  2. The candidate should have undergone B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. Hons. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in an institution which is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
  3. Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  4. Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  5. Candidate shall be medically fit.
  6. 5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST candidates may be given.
